Charcoal Factory | Kuala Sepetang

I was being lucky last weekend as I bumped with this charcoal factory on my way to Mak Jah, the famous Mee Udang (Prawn Noodle) in Matang. The business was established since 1930. Honestly, I don't  really have much information about this place, but one thing that I certain, this place is quite famous among photographer. I'm not sure the reason why, but perhaps due to the scene or maybe because we cannot find this kind of factory in other places, maybe!!!

I spent roughly about half an hour here, took photos here and there. Ttrust me, this place is dusty, smelly and absolutely, hot -  they manufacture charcoal after all!! Most of the worker lift and transport each chopped mangrove manually, as what you can see from the photos below to the burning igloo-look-like thingy. I forgot to ask the actual name of that thing. :-)

The work seems very simple, but I strongly believe, it is very tiring job to do!!!
